Extension of Time for The Payment of Annual Water Charge and Well Driller Registration
In order to aid the government’s efforts to proactively contain and prevent the surge of COVID-19 disease, and in relation to the announcement placing certain areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the following guidelines shall be observed:
1. Deadline of payments of annual water charge (AWC) and well driller registration in all areas during ECQ shall be extended without imposition of penalties and,
2. Payments shall have to be made within five (5) working days after lifting of ECQ.
This Memorandum shall be effective whenever ECQ is declared/extended.

Continuous and Enhanced Water Supply Services In All Areas of Operation Under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ)
With the announcement placing certain areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), all water utility operators/water service providers are enjoined to refrain from disconnecting water supply to individual households for the duration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until the same has been lifted in accordance with Memorandum Order No. 2021-02. However, this Memorandum is not meant to exempt the consumers from paying the appropriate amount corresponding to the volume consumed during this period.

Clarification on Item 3 of Memorandum Order No. 2020-01
In the provision of water utilities (WUs)/water service providers (WSPs) of continuous and enhanced water supply services in all areas of operation under threat of Covid-19 as provided for in Memorandum Order No. 2020-01, NWRB issued Memorandum Order No. 2020-01-A to clarify that while WUs/WSPs are directed to refrain from disconnecting water supply to individual households for the duration of the State of Public Health Emergency, it is not intended to protect abusive water consumers, neither was it meant to exempt the latter from paying the appropriate amount corresponding the volume consumed.

The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) forged another partnership to strengthen its bilateral ties through the establishment of the Integrated Water Resources Management Information System (IWRMIS) for the Pampanga River Basin. Its main objective is to improve water resources planning, management, and regulation in the river basin.
