NWRB Executive Director Sevillo D. David Jr. warmly received more than twenty Land Resource Management post-graduate students from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) at the National Water Resources Board office on November 27, 2014.

As part of their visit, Deputy Executive Director Jorge Estioko presented a lecture on Water Management in the Philippines to share with the Malaysian students the expertise and services of NWRB as the primary agency managing the water resources in the Philippines. The scope of presentation comprises the topics on State of Water Resources, Institutional and Legal Framework, Water Issues and Challenges and NWRB's Programs and Initiatives.

An exchange of knowledge on water resources management was conducted through an open forum.

The University Putra Malaysia is among Malaysia's top research institutions on agriculture. Their students' visit in the country include a tour at the University of the Philippines Los Baños campus and other government offices related to their course of study including the National Water Resources Board.
