NWRB Deputy Executive Director takes oath
Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Ramon Jesus Paje sworn into office Engr. Jorge Estioko as the Deputy Executive Director of the National Water Resources Board and two other DENR officials including Atty. Jonas Leones as Undersecretary and Region 8 Technical Director Danilo Javier as Director III.
Engr. Estioko, a licensed civil engineer, rose from the ranks of Hydrographic Engineer, Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Engineer, Supervising Hydrographic Engineer, Supervising Civil Engineer III, Head Civil Engineer and Engineer IV before reaching the position head of the NWRB Monitoring and Enforcement Division. Prior to his official appointment on September 24, 2014, he was concurrently designated as the Officer-in-Charge in the Office of the Deputy Executive after his predecessor, Atty. Nathaniel Santos was appointed in the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).
He holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the International Academy of Management and Economics (IAME) and a bachelor education in Civil Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT). He also garnered a Diploma of Hydrology from the Vriji Universiteit Brussel in Brussels, Belgium.
Boss Jorge, as he is fondly addressed by NWRB employees, has been loyally serving the agency for 35 years.
