Suspension on the Acceptance of New Water Permit Applications in Tagbilaran City, Baclayon and Panglao Island
NWRB Res. No. 29-0522 was approved by the Board on its meeting held on May 24, 2022 that suspends the acceptance of new water permit applications in Tagbilaran City, Baclayon and Panglao Island where the proposed water sources are deepwells and shallow wells. Petitions for increase of water volume within the said areas are also suspended
Policy on Streamlining and Process Improvement of NWRB's Frontline Services in Compliance with R.A. 11032, as Revised 2022
NWRB Res. No. 21-0322 was approved by the Board on its meeting held on March 30, 2022 which provides the amendment to Res. No. 15-0719 on streamlining and process improvements of NWRB's frontline services to be harmonized with existing special laws and/or IRRs and to be consistent with the Agency's updated Citizen's Charter.
Extension of Time on the Submission of Annual Report and Payment of Supervision and Regulation Fees During the State of Public Health Emergency
NWRB Res. No. 26-0222 was approved by the Board on its meeting held on February 16, 2022 which provides CPC grantees a two (2) months extension period on the submission of Annual Reports and payment of Supervision and Regulation Fees, which fall due on May 30, 2022 and September 30, 2022, respectively during the State of Public Health Emergency.
Amendment on the Extension of Validity of Conditional Water Permit During the State of Public Health Emergency
NWRB Res. No. 05-0320-B was approved by the Board on its meeting held on 27 October 2021 which provides that all CWPs  that have expired after 30 September 2021 including those with granted extensions shall be valid until Sept. 30, 2022, unless Proclamation No. 1218 S 2021 is earlier lifted or extended as the circumstances may warrant. In the case where the said proclamation is earlier lifted, a 30-day grace period shall render the above-mentioned CWPs to still be valid from the date of lifting.

NWRB Continues the IWRMIS for the Pampanga River Basin - Phase IIIWRMIS1
The establishment of the Integrated Water Resources Management Information System (IWRMIS) for the Pampanga River Basin Phase II was implemented by the National Water Resources Board and funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The objectives of the Project are to improve water resource planning, management, and regulation of the river basin that will benefits the NGOs, NGAs, LGUs, Water Districts, Water Service Providers, Academe and Private sectors.

During the Project’s Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting which was held last June 21, 2022 at Park Inn Radisson SM City North EDSA, Quezon City, different topics were presented. Engr. Susan P. Abaño tackled the project overview and the role of the TWG to the project. Mr. Koh Deuk koo, Vice-President of Dongbu Engineering presented the Master plan of the IWRMIS; and Mr. Kim Chang Wan, Vice-President of Pyunghwa Engineering talked about the Introduction to Water Balance Analysis for the Pampanga River Basin. Also, attendees from Department of Public Works and Highways – Bureau of Design (DPWH-BOD), National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – Central Office, NIA – Region III, National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) - Central Office, NEDA Region III, National Power Corporation (NPC), National Water Resources Board Officials, Philippine Astronomical Geophysical -ASA Central Office (PAG-ASA CO), Pampanga River Flood Forecasting and Weather Center (PRFFWC), Provincial Government of Bulacan, Pampanga and Tarlac were present.
The Phase I implementation of the Integrated 3D Geographic Information Systems (GIS)- Based Water Resources Management Information System project focused at Pampanga and Bulacan area aims to enhance the capability and decision-making support system for water resource planning, management and policy making. The project is able to display high-resolution 3D photos of water dams, view real-time images and statistics can be calculated remotely. The project commenced from 2015 until 2018.IWRMIS2

With Phase II, “Establishment of an Integrated Water Resources Management Information System (IWRMIS)”, proposes to cover the remaining area of the Pampanga River Basin, the province of Nueva Ecija, portion of the provinces of Tarlac, Bataan, Pangasinan, Aurora, Zambales and Nueva Vizcaya. The project descriptions intends to reinforce the real-time hydrometric observation network by installing new observatories and integrating with existing ones in the river basin; to build a master database that comprises all the necessary information for water resources management; and to develop decision support tools for NWRB’s efficient, effective, and timely water resources management.

The IWRMIS Phase II project will run from February 2021 to February 2025 with a granted budget of 5.8 million US Dollars.
