STATUS OF WATER RESOURCES IN THE ANGAT RESERVOIR

The National Water Resources Board and its partner agencies involved in the management of the Angat Dam — PAGASA, NAPOCOR, NIA, MWSS and its concessionaires, and Angat Hydro Corporation — encourages the public to wisely use our water resources and conserve water whenever possible this year. This is to ensure that sufficient water is available for municipal, irrigation and hydropower uses in the subsequent months, particularly during the summer season.
SITUATION OF WATER UTILITIES IN AREAS AFFECTED BY TYPHOON ODETTE
In order to assist the efforts of the government to extend aid to areas affected by Typhoon Odette, all water utilities that are operating the waterworks systems in these areas are enjoined to:
1) immediately report the situational status of the water supply in their service area to the NWRB;
2) exert best efforts to provide assistance to their consumers with respect to issues of water supply and availability, and
3) if able, extend assistance to consumers even outside their service areas.
This Memorandum shall be effective until the normal operations of all water utilities in the affected areas are restored.
NWRB, GWP-SEA and PWP hold the 2021 IWRM Conference
The National Water Resources Board (NWRB), together with the Global Water Partnership-Southeast Asia (GWP-SEA) and Philippine Water Partnership (PWP), conducted the 2021 virtual Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Conference on November 16, 2021 via Zoom as part of the 3-year project of the NWRB entitled: “Water Security Multi-Stakeholders Action Plan”.
